Photo Booth Expo Adventure

Yesterday we jumped a plane to Las Vegas. The second annual Photo Booth Expo is scheduled for April 10-13, 2016 at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas.

We’re excited because we are in a mood to learn. Yes, we don’t know everything there is to know but we know people who do! That’s the beauty of working with a company that invests in its people year in and year out.

While we’re in Vegas there’s no doubt we plan to find some answers to common questions with regards to the new trends that are coming down the pipeline. We also intend to bring some ideas back to you too. That way we can help you learn about new and upcoming trends too.

Of course heading to Vegas would not be complete unless we made some time for night life. This gives us a time to relax but also network with other professionals from around the country. We’ve found that many pros are more open to sharing when all of us are not from each others markets. Kudos to us and you because sharing is how we care for you. Without it we’d be boring and no one would grow.

One exciting development this week is that our Operations Manager, Matthew Long, is presenting at the show. There’s no doubt that he’s positioned himself as an Events Industry Leader.

Games: The Wedding Wheel

Games are a way to keep your event moving along and your guests stimulated. In this weeks “What’s New” article we are all about The Wedding Wheel. If you are looking for a way to keep those guests from clinking the Champaign and drink glasses then maybe consider adding a wedding wheel to your line-up.

So here’s how it works. Your emcee announces that if anyone would like the bride and groom to kiss that they can come up to the head table and take a spin on the wedding wheel. The wheel will provide them a small chance that the bride and groom will have to kiss but it could also lead to other interactive events for not only the bride and groom but also the guest and his/her date or table to take action.

In our standard wedding wheel we list various activities. For example, sing a love song at your table, do a little dance, and so on. This is a great activity to integrate into medium to large weddings because it breaks up the time from when the guests sit down for dinner to the time the dance begins.

Ice Sculptures, What Do We Sculpt?

So yes you found us. That’s right a full service wedding company offering emcees, DJ’s, photo booths, videography, photography and a full-service ice sculpting company. So you want to differentiate your event? Well you’ve come to the right place.

First let’s start by educating you on the various types of ice sculptures that are out there. First there’s the standard Ice Sculpture. This piece will usually last 6-8 hours and progressively loses definition as time passes closer to the 6 hour mark. Client’s can choose from our ideas lists or give us an idea. We are only limited by your imagination.

Next up is the Ice Luge. You might have seen something similar to an ice luge on your vacation to a warm tropical island in Mexico. For a wedding reception these can be fun. Usually clients ordering an ice luge have a person who will serve a “Signature Drink” with their ice luge. Patrons are supplied with a glass and the bartender or server pours the special signature drink through the luge. The signature drink is then cool once it’s ready for your guests catch the drink with their glass.

Another fun piece that will truly differentiate your wedding is an Ice Bar. Ice Bars are for those of sophistication. These are usually 4-5 block settings. There is a set-up and take-down component to this type of order. Ultimately though really the coolest of the group.

Our last ice sculpture example is a food display. This food display was used for a wedding we did at the Oaks Golf Course in Madison, WI. Our clients served vegetables on each level. This is a multi-block sculpture. Some clients like to display sea food like shrimp in this type of a display.
